At the National Circus School, Montreal, September 9, 2023
At the École de cirque de Québec, October 14, 2023

En Piste invites you to register today for the first Grand rendez-vous de l'enseignement en arts du cirque.

This free event is an opportunity to present the results of five years' work on circus arts training issues in Quebec (a partnership between École nationale de cirque, École de cirque de Québec, École de cirque de Verdun, École des Îles and École Horizon-Soleil in Saint-Eustache) and to make the resource documents developed available to the community.

A first day will be held at the National Circus School (Montreal), on September 9, and an identical one at The École de cirque de Québec, on October 14. Save the dates in your diaries!

At this event, experts will present new framework plans and accompanying tools designed to enrich circus education, from early childhood to professional schools. Training guides, recreational and preparatory programs, and guidelines for the layout of teaching facilities are also among the resources developed over the past 5 years by all the partners on the steering committee for the development of the circus training sector in Quebec.

Topics will include objectives and levels of development, circus techniques and disciplines, learner entry and exit profiles, as well as safety and ethical issues.

The Grand rendez-vous de l'enseignement en arts du cirque is aimed at managers, pedagogical advisors, teaching and training staff from professional, primary, secondary and preparatory schools in the circus sector.

Come and discuss concrete ways to implement these strategies in your contexts and create a real community of practice in circus arts training from early childhood to professionalization.

Funds of $150/person may be allocated to cover participants' travel expenses.

Don't miss this opportunity to take part in a project supported by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, which represents a major first step in the development of skills in the field.
