Montreal, May 30, 2024 – A new circus festival is launched in East Montreal!
From June 7 to 9, 2024, La compagnie des autres presents the first edition of PointÔ
Circus and street, in the heart of Pointe-aux-Trembles village! The public can attend over twenty outdoor and indoor performances, most of which are free.
This festive, unifying, and family-friendly event celebrates the gathering of local residents and circus arts. The festival will be held at the creative center of
Accessible and contemporary, the circus acts presented, such as Look-Up Aerial Arts (vertical dance and acrobatics on buildings), Nadère Living Arts (Long-duration performance), La Marche du crabe (Circus for babies and young children), or Marguerite à Bicyclette (Clown solo on the river), brilliantly represent the best of Quebec circus arts, which draw their richness from the diversity and authenticity of their approaches.
On Friday, June 7, starting at 5:30 PM, you are invited to the opening night, which will be playful, relaxed, and full of surprises. It will include, among other things, a friendship cocktail and a high-flying vertical dance performance on the facade of the Creative Center, presented as part of the 350th-anniversary festivities of Pointe-aux-Trembles.
