En Piste welcomes the announcement made today by Quebec’s Minister of Culture and Communications, Nathalie Roy, during François Legault’s press conference, regarding the budget allocated to the cultural sector’s recovery plan.
Nearly $400 million will be invested to assist and support the recovery of the cultural sector, representing an additional $250 M to the initially planned budget. $50.9 M will be dedicated to supporting the creation and dissemination of performing arts. $71.9 M will support cultural businesses and organizations (including schools) in resuming their activities, including an additional $50 M that will be added to the loan program administered by SODEC.
