A New Quebec Award in Performing Arts and Call for Nominations

19 Jan 2021

The launch of the call for nominations for the 2021 Prix du Québec also marks the creation of the Denise-Filiatrault Award, which will specifically highlight the work of an individual in the field of performing arts.

The Prix du Québec are the highest distinction in culture and science awarded by the Government of Quebec. This new award will therefore allow for full recognition of the performing arts field by distinguishing it from other fields with which it was previously associated.

The recipient will notably receive a non-taxable sum of $30,000, a silver medal, and a calligraphed parchment.

Organizations, groups, and individuals are invited to submit nominations by March 16, 2021.

Read the press release issued by the Office of the Minister of Culture and Communications.
