The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and En Piste invite circus arts artists, collectives, and organizations to submit their applications for this award. Valued at $10,000, this award recognizes the artistic excellence of a circus arts work presented in Quebec for the first time during the previous artistic season. The ceremony will take place in summer 2025 as part of Montréal Complètement Cirque.
Objectives
- Recognize the excellence of circus arts creation in Quebec;
- Encourage and support the creation of circus shows in Quebec;
- Contribute to the promotion of Quebec circus arts organizations and artists.
Eligibility
- Who can apply: artists, collectives, and organizations working in circus arts, residing in Quebec.
- Which works: a circus arts work presented for the first time in Quebec between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Submission Guidelines
- Deadline: March 10, 2025.
- The application must be submitted to the CALQ.
- Applications are evaluated by a committee of circus arts experts.
- Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline are not eligible.
Terms and Award Ceremony
The award is indivisible and recognizes a single work.
The next award will be presented as part of Montréal Complètement Cirque in summer 2025.
