For who?
Circus artists and related disciplines (dance, physical theater, etc.) from various regions of Canada, excluding Quebec.
Whether you want to refine your artistic voice, develop a character, or explore the concept for a new creation in a safe space, this research and creation program is for you!
Goal of the project
- To encourage creative exploration, research-based creation, and the deepening of artistic approaches
- To foster the emergence of new movement vocabularies, dramaturgical perspectives and ways of working that go beyond technical performance alone.
What’s on the agenda
Workshops combining physical training, adaptation of techniques, creative exploration, and group discussions. Before the in-person training, you will attend an online lecture on the history and development of contemporary circus aesthetics.

Krin Haglund is a circus artist, actress, and director based in Montreal. Her work, characterized by a deep connection with the audience, explores the intersection of character, comedy, and acrobatics. She has worked with leading companies including Les 7 Doigts, Cirque Éloize, and Cirque du Soleil, and played Ms. Martel in the television series Big Top Academy.
Her recent productions include Off Balance, Deep Dish, and the Montreal Clown Festival Gala, as well as collaborations with numerous professional acrobats and clowns. With her company, The Radiant, she has produced Cirque Prom, Eat Sweet Feet, and her solo show The Rendez-Vous. A graduate of Smith College and a trainee at the San Francisco Clown Conservatory, she is the first woman to have performed on the Cyr wheel and continues to take the stage as a clown, drinking wine with her feet.
