“As part of the economic recovery of the cultural sector and to meet the growing needs for cultural infrastructure in Quebec, the Minister of Culture and Communications, Ms. Nathalie Roy, announced today the launch of the call for projects for the Cultural Infrastructure Development Support Program. The governments of Quebec and Canada will each contribute $50 million to this program, for a total envelope of $100 million, which will enable the realization of cultural infrastructure projects across Quebec.”
The program, which is part of an agreement between the governments of Quebec and Canada, will today begin accepting project submissions from municipalities and First Nations or Inuit governments.
“By supporting projects for new constructions, expansions, developments, upgrades, renovations, and restorations of cultural infrastructure, the Government of Quebec aims to revive the Quebec economy and promote access to quality cultural venues and equipment.”
