Have you attended a higher education institution in the arts such as the National Circus School of Montreal or the Quebec Circus School? Do you know someone who studied in the arts? Do you believe that professional artistic training is important?
In anticipation of the upcoming federal budget, the CATF (Canada’s Arts Training Fund), a collective of over 25 organizations, has launched a digital advocacy campaign to ask the Government of Canada to support professional arts training organizations during the COVID-19 recovery period.
This involves sending a letter to your local Member of Parliament, to the Minister of Canadian Heritage Steven Guilbeault and the Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland, to express the importance of professional artistic training for Canada’s arts ecosystem and to request increased support through the Canada Arts Training Fund (CATF). Thanks to a simple form, which automatically identifies your local MP, it will only take you two short minutes!
Access the form here to add your voice to this campaign before February 19!
Together, let’s highlight the importance of supporting professional artistic training!
