En Piste maintains a strong and supportive presence at this third edition of the St. John’s International CircusFest by offering four free events: a virtual 5@Cirque, a discussion with sports legend Sylvie Fréchette, and two online workshops.
The festival will therefore begin with our virtual 5@Cirque, on Friday, September 25, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM (Eastern Time). Hosted by Krin Haglund with interactive sessions and activities led by a selection of circus artists, following the original concept of the International Contemporary Circus Market (MICC). Register at least 24 hours in advance to receive the Zoom link and participate!
The festival and En Piste are also partnering with the Quebec Centre for Resources and Transition for Dancers (CQRTD) to give you the opportunity to meet Sylvie Fréchette, two-time Olympic medalist in artistic swimming, on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM (Eastern Time). She will share her inspiring story and tips and tricks for high-level artists with a philosophical inclination. Do not miss this opportunity! Register now!
Therefore, two free online workshops in English are being added to our fall training program, launched on August 6. A hand-balancing workshop will be led by Olaf Triebel. Additionally, Dr. Joseph Culpepper will host a workshop on creating your own props. You can register for these workshops directly on our website starting August 24.
The 2020 edition of the St. John’s International CircusFest will take place primarily online from September 25 to 27. Register for free to access all activities!
