“The Quebec circus troupe Flip Fabrique is working on a new ‘COVID-proof‘, which could be presented as early as September in the National Capital. Six º will feature five acrobats led by the charismatic clown Jamie Adkins.”
Flip’s General and Artistic Director, Bruno Gagnon, speaks of ‘light at the end of the tunnel’. Their previous creation, Blizzard, was sailing smoothly (no pun intended) when the pandemic was declared and everything stopped.
After several weeks of lockdown in the spring, the troupe participated this summer in several ‘parades’ organized by the City of Quebec — somewhat equivalent to what Bonheur mobile (Cirque Alfonse and Patin Libre) did in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.
But with the gradual easing of restrictions and the reopening of performance venues — with maximum capacities of 250 people — Flip Fabrique embarked on a ‘COVID-19’ creation that respects physical distancing rules.”
