“While access to online cultural content is currently concentrated on a few major international platforms, France and Quebec reaffirm their commitment to cultural diversity and to the place national cultures must occupy in the digital environment.”
Launched by the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, and the Premier of Quebec, Mr. François Legault, in January 2019 in Paris, the strategy jointly developed by France and Quebec to improve the online discoverability of Francophone cultural content is being unveiled today by the Minister of Culture of France, Ms. Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, and the Minister of Culture and Communications of Quebec, Ms. Nathalie Roy.
“The concept of discoverability refers to the online availability of content and its ability to be found among a vast array of other content, even when not specifically searched for.”
