Interview with Guy Laliberté Regarding His Intention to Repurchase Cirque Du Soleil

“A few months after selling all his shares, Guy Laliberté wishes to repurchase his ‘baby’. Cirque du Soleil has been struggling since the pandemic severely impacted its operations, forcing the layoff of 95% of its staff. With financial partners, the founder hopes to orchestrate a revival with the aim of retaining the company’s administrative and creative core in Quebec. Given this ultra-complex process, he will need much more than spinning balls on his nose to resurrect Cirque du Soleil from its ashes.”
