Do you wish to contribute to the reach of circus arts? En Piste, the national association for circus arts, is currently seeking a Project Manager – School Circus Development. We are looking for an approachable, dynamic, and professional individual to implement and coordinate concrete actions to improve the integration of circus arts education in schools. This person will work with the Director of Professional Development and Continuing Education, as well as the Executive Director.
Context
For several years, the project for developing the circus arts education sector has been supported by several major players in circus training in Quebec (National Circus School of Montreal, Quebec Circus School, Verdun Circus School, Islands Circus School, Horizon-Soleil Primary School), En Piste, and the Ministry of Culture and Communications. An action plan is now ready to be deployed, taking into account the potential advancements of our sector in the recognition of our discipline.
Your initial challenges:
– identify schools offering circus arts and existing programs;
– identify specific needs of physical education teachers through consultations;
– create and animate a community of circus arts trainers;
– list artists who offer training and mediation in schools;
– occasionally assist with administrative tasks for the project.
We would like to meet you if you have:
– knowledge of non-professional circus education or physical education
at the primary or secondary level;
– strong proficiency in French and English, both oral and written;
– proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Airtable databases;
– autonomy, leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills;
– a sense of organization and priorities in a multifaceted project;
– a strong ability to work in a team.
What we offer:
– a contract position of 15 to 20 hours per week, flexible schedule, remote work;
– a duration of approximately one year with the possibility of renewal;
– joining a small, dynamic team;
– the possibility of accessing a pleasant and friendly workspace, located downtown near Place des Arts;
– compensation based on your experience.
