En Piste announces the launch of the new edition of the Circus Calendar, a Canada-wide tool that brings together and highlights circus creations presented from January to June 2026. This publication paints a vivid and up-to-date picture of a vibrant community, showcasing the diversity, scope, and creativity of the Canadian circus.
Designed to meet a need for visibility and structure in the sector, the Circus Calendar has established itself as an essential resource for both the public and professionals. It allows users to find shows currently playing, follow tours, discover companies, and grasp the scope of creative and promotional work being done on a national scale.
The 2026 edition features more than 90 shows by over 70 companies from all regions of the country. The circus takes on a multitude of forms: contemporary creations, street arts, cabarets, youth programs, hybrid works, and big-top experiences. The formats vary, aesthetics intersect, and artistic approaches respond to one another, revealing a rich and constantly evolving ecosystem.
Designed with a pan-Canadian perspective, the Agenda helps to strengthen the circulation of works and artists, while promoting networking between territories. It highlights tours, structuring initiatives, and projects that actively contribute to the influence of circus arts as a major artistic discipline.
For the public, the Circus Agenda is an invitation to curiosity and discovery. Regardless of age, location, or preferences, the circus is presented here in all its facets: intimate or spectacular, playful or committed, unifying or daring. This diversity is the strength of the circus here and demonstrates its ability to reach a wide range of audiences.
A reference and promotion tool, the Circus Calendar is fully in line with En Piste’s mission to support and structure the circus arts sector in Canada. In 2026, circus arts are everywhere, diverse, and accessible. Something for everyone.
