Clotilde Schira 

Biography

Through her work as a circus artist, Clotilde wants to do good, make people freer and happier. On stage, the bearers of her messages are optimistic and caring characters who break down stereotyped gender roles and attitudes. Clotilde worked 10 years in the medical field. In 2013, she decided to quit her job as an Orthotist-Prosthetist and embark full-time, without training and with no safety net, on the circus life’s adventure. She then co-founded the company Cirkazou in 2012. After this, in 2020 she created Clotilde Cloe, Bulles & Cirque. She has since created 6 shows (''ZaZa'', 2014, ''Professeure Brin d'humour'', 2018, ''Les couleurs de Charlie'', 2019, ''Gomballoune'' 2021, ''Fabullation'' 2022, ‘’Barba-Bulle’’ 2025), more than 80 roving entertainment characters, directed and coordinated artistic projects as artistic director, and participated as a performer and circus artist on TV ( TV show ‘’QUEL TALENT’’, Noovo) and in major events such as Cirque du Soleil private parties, the ‘’Montréal Complètement Cirque’’ festival, the International Circus Festival of Vaudreuil-Dorion, the opening show of the Special Olympics Québec, the 57th final of the games of Quebec, the ''Fête nationale du Québec'' in Montreal etc.. Hard worker and with an immense thirst for learning, she develops her knowledge and expertise through numerous artistic, entrepreneurial and social trainings. Specialist in the manipulation of soap bubbles, her expertise is also in juggling (diabolo, hula-hoop and poïs), clowning and magic. Weaver of emotions, she likes to intertwine wonder, thanks to magic, astonishment, with the circus, exaltation by soap bubbles and optimism thanks to the clown. Her experience as a caregiver is a major tool and colors her approach to the public with gentleness, empathy, kindness and inclusiveness. She also works as a therapeutic Clown for the ‘’Dr Clown Fondation’’ since 2023. Her thirst for life is the engine of her scenic exuberance and her unfailing optimism. Clotilde wants to experiment, color, twirl, live, her art is alive.
