Biography

Trained at the École de cirque de Québec after years of ski and gymnastics competitions, Amélie also learned clowning with Francine Côté. She practices various disciplines, the main ones being aerial hoop and Chinese pole, which leads her to perform on many occasions in events, shows and festivals throughout the province. A woman with multiple interests, she is also completing a degree in biology, a master's degree in international ecology and works in nature interpretation. She also has numerous training courses and experiences in dance, equestrian acrobatics, capoeira, theatre and scenography. For the past few years, Amélie has been rediscovering comedy and has been training with James Keylon, Yves Dagenais and Joannie Hébert. Feeling more credible and relevant when she does clowning than when she really takes herself seriously, she concentrates on creating comic acrobatic acts, finding her originality and singularity in them.
