An emergency circus performance project both generous and intergenerational
Four acrobats has just founded the Emergency Circus Performance. "Their project started spontaneously to entertain their grandmothers. It now also targets young people and those most in need."
"They are two couples in life: Francis Gadbois and Louana Seclet, and Jean-Philippe Cuerrier and Mélodie Lamoureux. Four graduates of circus schools in Montreal and Quebec City, but also friends and neighbours on Rivard Street, on the Plateau Mont-Royal."
"When the national circus arts alliance En Piste launched a call for artists to perform from their balconies on World Circus Day (April 18), the four friends played along and even raised the bar by doing improvised street performances."
"Slowly the idea of performing in parking lots for seniors' residences (RPAs) or CHSLDs was born. The idea of emergency circus performances was born, followed by the 35 to 40 minute show entitled Au show chez vous. »
