France and Quebec unveil joint strategy to improve discoverability of francophone cultural content online

"While access to online cultural content is now concentrated on a few major international platforms, France and Quebec are reaffirming their commitment to cultural diversity and the place that national cultures must occupy in the digital environment. 

Launched by French President Emmanuel Macron and Quebec Premier François Legault in January 2019 in Paris, the strategy developed jointly by France and Quebec to improve the online discoverability of French-language cultural content was unveiled today by French Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin and Quebec Minister of Culture and Communications Nathalie Roy.

The notion of discoverability refers to the online availability of content, and its ability to be found among a vast array of other content, when it was not specifically searched for."
