Following yesterday's announcement by the Quebec government, the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications (MCC) confirmed this afternoon that professional activities such as training, rehearsals, creative residencies, continuing education activities and coaching remain permitted. The training, creation and rehearsal studios will remain open. However, they will have to adjust their schedules to respect curfew (from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.) and allow sufficient time for artists and staff to travel during the permitted hours. If a professional activity must absolutely extend beyond the curfew, the employer will have to provide a certificate to the staff involved. Please note, however, that indoor recreational activities are not permitted in either group or private classes, with the exception of school-based programs.

We welcome this decision. This means that our artists can continue to train and our sector can continue to create! However, let’s not forget the importance of respecting all health measures to avoid the spread of the virus so that we can regain control of this pandemic and resume all our professional activities as soon as possible. We are counting on everyone's cooperation!
