More about the performance
Limb(e)s is a contemporary aerial dance that explores the limbo after loss. Jeremiah Hughes and Gabrielle Martin draw from their experience in circus and dance to question what it means to hold onto or let go of one in our “darkest hour”. Using two bodies, rope cradles and elevation, Limb(e)s unfolds to the haunting music of composer Nicolas Bernier, in a dystopian landscape brought to life by lighting designer Sophie Tang and cinematographer Jessica Han. The result is a hypnotic, destabilizing narrative full of mourning, distant hope, and eerie beauty.
