Netflix helps the entertainment industry 

Last Friday, Netflix created a US$100 million fund to help the cultural community. From this fund, the Actors' Fund of Canada (AFC) received $1 million CDN to set up emergency financial assistance for entertainment industry professionals in need due to the pandemic. Eligibility requirements and the application process can be found on their website.

The Fondation des artistes, for its part, was entitled to C$500,000 to help Quebec artists affected by the work cancellations. Modest, one-time amounts will be allocated to as many artists as possible by applying on their website.
