COVID-19 - Important Announcement to the Circus Arts Sector: New Restrictions Imposed

In response to the critical situation and the high risk of transmission within the community, the Quebec Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, updated the public on December 20 about the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Quebec and introduced new health guidelines and restrictions.

Effective December 20, theaters across Quebec will be forced to close their doors at 5:00 p.m. until further notice.

The measures implemented today are as follow:

  • Shutdown of indoor shows as of December 20, 2021, 5:00 p.m.
  • Outdoor activities can be carried out.
  • Training and rehearsals will still proceed, and the established guidelines must be followed.
  • Training and learning facilities will remain in operation.
  • Remote work is once again mandatory.

Guidelines reminder:

  • Avoid unnecessary social interaction.
  • Vaccination passport is required to access specific venues and to practice certain activities.
  • Follow basic prevention measures such as hand washing, physical distancing, wearing face coverings and following local guidelines.
