Free workshop this weekend!
Attend the workshop at Concordia with artist, actor and director Pablo Gershanik!
Artist, actor and director Pablo Gershanik is in residence at Concordia University in November 2022. His previous virtual residency at Concordia was the opportunity to think about art as healing and a tool for resilience
You are invited to participate, in person, in his Intimate Models Workshop at Concordia.
The Intimate Models workshop (Maquettes Intimes) explores resilience in art. This is a research-creation environment for a group of "model creators/maquettists" (people who lived a traumatic, significant or emblematic experience they want to explore). Participants will work in teams from three aspects: representation, memory, and social ties. The aim is to explore art tools and a lived experience to create a multimedia object, finding links between personal and social history.
The workshop will take place on October 29th-30th, 2022, from 11 am to 4 pm, both Saturday and Sunday at Concordia’s Residency Space (Le Parc-Milieux). If you wish to participate, register here: [email protected]
Please, include a short bio (100 words) and your contact details. Places are limited.
The workshop is free, but you are expected to be present throughout the weekend and to work within a team. If you want to participate, on November 2nd, there will be a brief presentation of your team’s work at the 4th Space. 11 a.m. to Noon
