On March 22 and 23, YES Montreal is organizing a virtual conference titled Business Skills For Creative Souls Artist Conference: Re-Imagining The Arts, where artists will receive advice to advance their careers in a market poised to reimagine the arts.
Other artist speakers include choreographer and creative director Debra Brown; Natalia Baquero, a milliner who has worked with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize, and Les 7 Doigts; and Josephine Klaveness, burlesque artist and founder of the Arabesque Burlesque dance school. Artists will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from the Arts Councils and to network with each other.
Participation in this event is free, and over 150 people have already registered. The organizers hope to welcome emerging and established circus artists from Quebec, and thanks to this year’s virtual format, from the rest of Canada or even internationally!
