Research project on equity, diversity, and inclusion in performing arts programs in Canada

The National Circus School receives a grant of nearly $360,000 over 3 years for the research project of its Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer in Circus Arts (CRITAC), focusing on equity, diversity, and inclusion in performing arts programs in Canada, in partnership with the National Ballet School of Canada and the National Theatre School of Canada.

The grant will be used to determine the current state of outreach programs to engage individuals from equity-seeking backgrounds. It will then enable working with them to understand their needs and perspectives, ultimately developing tools and resources to support the future development and expansion of programs while aligning with the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
