FEDEC

The FED-Talks are a series of rigging video tutorials produced as part of the European RIGGERS project (2022–2024), led by Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) and FEDEC. Through these FED-Talks, riggers from circus schools around the world share their best practices in safety and rigging with their professional community.

This framework document establishes shared guidelines to support the development and oversight of circus arts training pathways, including recreational, school-based and preparatory streams.

It provides organizations and professionals in the field with a clear reference tool to help harmonize practices, ensure safe learning environments and foster a shared understanding of standards and responsibilities across the sector.

This guide on the certification of circus arts instructors establishes a reference framework aimed at recognizing and supporting professional competencies in circus teaching.

It outlines the criteria, requirements and processes related to certification, while contributing to high standards of quality, safety and pedagogical rigour within the circus arts training pathway.
