This prestigious distinction awarded by the CALQ pays tribute to cultural figures for their remarkable contribution to the development and reputation of excellence of Quebec arts and letters, both locally and internationally. Whether in the spotlight or behind the scenes, they have shaped Quebec culture, enhanced our imagination, and inspired pride.
The CALQ will award them the prestigious distinction of the Order of Arts and Letters of Quebec during an insignia presentation ceremony on May 29, at Espace Orange in the Wilder Building, in Montreal.
“Quebec’s cultural scene is rich, stimulating, and diverse. It shines around the world thanks to the invaluable contribution of passionate artists and professionals, whose achievements enrich our lives daily. These individuals, each in their own way, forge Quebec culture, and their contribution must be highlighted. On behalf of the Council, I congratulate the 13 recipients whom I eagerly look forward to welcoming into the great family of the Order of Arts and Letters of Quebec.”
