The MICC Continues in August and September

The International Contemporary Circus Market (MICC), which took place virtually last July, continues its activities in August and September.

If you are curious to learn how the MICC made its digital transition, join TOHU’s Associate Director of Programming, Development, and Dissemination of Circus Arts, Ruth Wikler, on the evening of August 18, to attend a panel discussion on North American performing arts markets (in English).

Unfortunately, several companies missed the opportunity to perform at festivals and markets this summer. On August 19, Ruth Wikler will host the virtual showcase of the Quebec Delegation, highlighting four Quebec circus companies that were scheduled to perform at Edinburgh Fringe 2020. Discover them!

Finally, the MICC participates in the St. John’s International CircusFest , on September 25, with a virtual pitch session themed Touring in Canada. Artists have until September 8 to submit their project. However, if you have already submitted a project that was not presented in July, you do not need to do anything! It will be automatically considered for this session.

In parallel, working groups established in July will meet online to discuss key issues for our sector from August 19 to September 24. Keep an eye on your inbox for invitations to these meetings!
