Alice Kop

Alice Kop holds a degree in Art History from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and a degree in Cultural Organization Management from HEC Montréal. She has built her career as a manager in the circus arts field since 2007. While serving as an assistant director at Cirque Éloize from 2007 to 2010, she volunteered with her circus arts friends. She supported Cirque Alfonse in registering the nonprofit and making initial grant applications, quickly understanding the various challenges faced by young creators. As a tour manager until 2012, she gained insights into the unique challenges of distribution, field management, and logistics specific to the circus arts. She has worked with TOHU, Moment Factory, Cirque du Soleil, En Piste, Montreal’s 375th anniversary celebrations, and Cirque Éloize. These rich and diverse experiences have allowed her to understand the field comprehensively and develop a vision for addressing needs and implementing projects. In 2020, she co-founded La Compagnie des Autres with Antoine Carabinier Lépine and Nicolas Fortin, an organization dedicated to supporting the creation of circus arts. Leading the company, she is committed to diversifying circus arts offerings.
