Created in 2025 by En Piste, a national circus arts association, in collaboration with the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), this award recognizes the excellence, originality, and impact of a notable circus arts work each year.
Born out of a desire to recognize circus arts on par with other artistic disciplines, it highlights the creativity and daring that have earned Quebec circus arts international renown.
The CALQ Award for Best Circus Performance, accompanied by a $10,000 grant, has become an unmissable event, celebrating artists and companies who push the boundaries of the imagination and contribute to Quebec’s cultural vitality.
