Cirquantique presents Cabaret Secret, an alternative circus and burlesque cabaret, inspired by old-time freak shows, but with a feminist and inclusive approach. Strong women in suspension duo, drag and boylesque artist, delinquent contortionists, burlesque and bondage artists, and breakdancers from the Montréal Street Dancer troupe are among the six extraordinary and extravagant acts in this cabaret. Filmed without an audience and broadcast on delay, this show will allow artists to share their body art… even in the context of a pandemic.
This co-production by Cirquantique and Phénomena Festival, featuring Mélodie Martin Couture and Heidi Blais, Daïna Michaud and La Petite Fleur, Roxy Torpedo and Dante, Heaven Genderfuck, Valérie Doucet, as well as DVD and Sonik Boom from Montréal Street Dancer, will be available for on-demand viewing from October 15 to 22, 2020.
A meeting with Cirquantique and its artists will take place on Friday, October 16 at 5 PM on Zoom.
