How can an artwork or an artistic practice be rooted in a local ecosystem? This workshop addresses the connections between the arts community and the solidarity economy to open new perspectives for production and creation. By exploring the connections to be forged between artists, the social economy, and the community, Claire Renaud approaches creation with an eco-beneficial and solidarity-based approach. The workshop will focus on mediation, audience development, partnerships, and local funding opportunities, but above all, on the search for meaning and coherence in artistic creation. Participants will also be able to discuss the social impact and intangible legacies of their works on their community, and ways to build connections with citizens and organizations in alignment with their ongoing projects. <\/p>\n\n

Claire Renaud<\/p>\n\n
Claire Renaud is a set designer, author, and theater director. Her approach, focused on societal issues, explores interdisciplinarity, collective practices, unconventional stage devices, and the relationship between creators and spectators. Her career includes extensive experience in theater (TNM, Espace GO, Duceppe, Prospero, etc.), event management (XP MTL 45 Degr\u00e9s), museology (Mon coeur est Montr\u00e9al, 2016, Du disque \u00e0 l\u2019oeuvre, 2022), and cinema (La Claque, 2020). <\/p>\n\n
