objectives?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"color-primary\">This program aims to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"color-primary\">to promote research and exploration for the development of new forms in circus arts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"color-primary\">to encourage the circus of authors and writers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"color-primary\">to allow research and creation without dissemination constraints, under suitable conditions and in an appropriate location<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"color-primary\">to offer support that promotes professional development focused on improving skills related to showcasing the artistic approach, as well as acquiring skills for seeking funding for the project<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"3\">What assistance is provided?<\/h5>\n<p>The selected artist, collective or organization benefits from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an artistic fee of $15,000 from the Council<\/li>\n<li>5 hours of support from Compagnie des autres to acquire skills in fundraising for the project<\/li>\n<li>access to the Compagnie des autres creative center (120 hours \/ 3 weeks)<\/li>\n<li>20 hours of personalized support from En Piste for developing skills related to showcasing the artistic approach<\/li>\n<li>a one-year membership with En Piste, if the winner has never been a member and subject to the criteria of the membership policy<\/li>\n<li>a residency showcase open to the public, allowing for networking, meetings and exchanges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 role=\"heading\" requirements?<\/h5>\n<p><strong>For the individual artist:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence<\/li>\n<li>be domiciled on the territory of Montreal Island<\/li>\n<li>to be recognized as a professional artist<\/li>\n<li>have at least one artistic achievement to their credit, presented in a professional context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For a collective of artists:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to be a group of artists (minimum two artists)<\/li>\n<li>be represented by a person responsible for the application who must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency<\/li>\n<li>must be composed of two-thirds artists with Canadian citizenship or permanent residency; the proportion of members of the collective residing outside Canada cannot exceed one-third<\/li>\n<li>be composed of artists primarily domiciled (50% +1) on the territory of Montreal Island, including the person responsible for the application<\/li>\n<li>be composed of professional artists who meet the definition of the Montreal Arts Council<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For an arts organization:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a non-profit corporation or a non-profit artists&#8217; cooperative that does not pay dividends<\/li>\n<li>have its head office on the territory of Montreal Island<\/li>\n<li>have a board of directors primarily composed of individuals holding Canadian citizenship or permanent residency in Canada<\/li>\n<li>have as its primary mission the realization of creation, production, or dissemination activities in the field of arts<\/li>\n<li>have a recognized level of competence and be able to demonstrate it<\/li>\n<li>to be managed by qualified people<\/li>\n<li>to have a stable artistic direction<\/li>\n<li>to present activities whose artistic quality is recognized by peers in the same artistic practice<\/li>\n<li>employ professional artists and cultural workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>What are the specific eligibility requirements?<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Have read the <a class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW62230809 BCX0\">\u00b7e<\/span> on the pre-established dates and at the pre-established location of the residency<\/li>\n<li>Hold valid public liability insurance for the entire duration of the residency (It is recommended to budget for this if necessary.)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that at least one representative actively participates in the professional support process offered by En Piste (20 hours)<\/li>\n<li>Participate in a debriefing meeting with the partners involved in the project<\/li>\n<li>Present the results of the work carried out during the residency in the form of a public presentation to prospective collaborators, the public, and partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Notes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is possible to submit a project that has undergone a preliminary research phase. However, the completion of a preliminary phase is not an eligibility criterion. <\/li>\n<li>La Compagnie des autres will not be able to offer assistance with project writing or personalized support for submitting an application to this residency program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>What is the project&#8217;s timeframe?<\/h5>\n<p>The residency at the Centre de cr\u00e9ation de La Compagnie des autres will take place from May 5 to 25, 2025.
