{"id":4469,"date":"2020-08-14T09:35:09","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T09:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enpistedev.wpenginepowered.com\/the-micc-continues-in-august-and-september\/"},"modified":"2020-08-14T09:35:09","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T09:35:09","slug":"the-micc-continues-in-august-and-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/enpiste.qc.ca\/en\/the-micc-continues-in-august-and-september\/","title":{"rendered":"The MICC Continues in August and September"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/montrealcompletementcirque.com\/fr\/professionnels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Contemporary Circus Market (MICC)<\/a>, which took place virtually last July, continues its activities in August and September.<\/p>\n<p>If you are curious to learn how the MICC made its digital transition, join TOHU&#8217;s Associate Director of Programming, Development, and Dissemination of Circus Arts, Ruth Wikler, on the evening of August 18, to attend a <a href=\"https:\/\/apam.org.au\/news\/wire-9-adaptations-and-innovations-in-north-american-performing-arts-markets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">panel discussion<\/a> on North American performing arts markets (in English).  <\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, several companies missed the opportunity to perform at festivals and markets this summer. On <g id=\"gid_0\">August 19<\/g>, Ruth Wikler will host the <g id=\"gid_1\">virtual showcase of the Quebec Delegation<\/g>, highlighting four Quebec circus companies that were scheduled to perform at Edinburgh Fringe 2020. Discover them!  <\/p>\n<p>Finally, the MICC participates in the  <a href=\"https:\/\/app.cyberimpact.com\/click-tracking?ct=czMRjbMgQ22Ss12K_mYWpLMrgcQTwzpp8Vx7i06D19hslHtWEUXw5pqmRxyAw89pWTywWm0Uv3x2VAKsGBgrmg~~\">St. John\u2019s International CircusFest <\/a>, on <strong>September 25<\/strong>, with a virtual <em>pitch<\/em> session themed <em>Touring in Canada<\/em>. Artists have <g id=\"gid_3\">until September 8<\/g> to <g id=\"gid_4\">submit their project.<\/g> However, if you have already submitted a project that was not presented in July, you do not need to do anything! It will be automatically considered for this session.    <\/p>\n<p>In parallel, working groups established in July will meet online to discuss key issues for our sector <strong>from August 19 to September 24<\/strong>.
