The only circus act in the Canadian Family’s Got Talent competition, presented by Sant\u00e9 D\u2019Amours Fortunato and her husband Sasha Yudintsev<\/strong>, was selected for the top 10.<\/p>\n

The couple met while both working on Cirque du Soleil’s show Corteo<\/em>. Sant\u00e9, who graduated from the National Circus School in 2011<\/g>, notably performed in the aerial chandelier act, while Sasha, who worked thirteen years at Cirque du Soleil, primarily showcased his talent in the trampo-bed act. Excerpts from the show are currently available on the CirqueConnect<\/a> platform. <\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, we are not in the top 3. But it was fun to be part of the top 10,\u201d says Sant\u00e9. \u201cIt was a great experience that gave us a little positive boost. Doing the live interview on Breakfast Television<\/a>,\u201d she continues, \u201cgave us butterflies again.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sasha had seen the competition advertisement on Instagram. As they didn’t have much indoor space at Sant\u00e9’s parents’ house in Vancouver, where they live, to shoot the video, they said to themselves: \u201cThe weather is good, we need to do it quickly, now, before it rains, on the outdoor terrace!\u201d <\/p>\n

During lockdown, the couple continues to train using the gym, the small dance studio, and the outdoor yard of the family home. Sant\u00e9 has started giving private online lessons to students worldwide. They are also creating a 45-minute multidisciplinary show, highlighting their respective disciplines: hula-hoop, contortion, aerial hoop, and dance for Sant\u00e9; and trampoline, plank, Cyr wheel, juggling, diabolo, and guitar for Sasha. <\/p>\n

They don’t know when or how they will present this show, but they are enthusiastic. \u201cWe have always wanted to do this project, but now we have the time to do it.\u201d The idea would be to sell it to small presenters, cruise ships, or events once cultural life has resumed. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
