{"id":1784,"date":"2024-11-14T15:23:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-14T20:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enpistedev.wpenginepowered.com\/projet-recurrent\/circus-trajectory-2025\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T11:40:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T15:40:05","slug":"circus-trajectory-2025","status":"publish","type":"projet-recurrent","link":"https:\/\/enpiste.qc.ca\/en\/projet-recurrent\/circus-trajectory-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Trajectoire cirque"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-aa0153b79def43645dc2e84202a3eb25\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsmontreal.org\/aides\/programmes\/trajectoire-cirque\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lacompagniedesautres.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La compagnie des autres<\/a> and En Piste, National Circus Arts Alliance, provide an inspiring framework to develop your artistic language and bring new depth to your creations.<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is this residence intended for?<\/h4>\n\n<p>Individual artists, professional artist collectives and non-profit circus arts organizations.<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the objectives?<\/h4>\n\n<p>This program aims to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>support research and exploration leading to the development of new forms in circus arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>encourage auteur-driven circus creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enable research and creation without presentation constraints, in appropriate conditions and space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide mentorship that supports professional development, focusing on enhancing the artistic approach and building skills related to project funding<br\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Support<\/h4>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What support is provided?<\/h5>\n\n<p>The selected artist, collective or organization receives:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an artistic fee of $15,000 from the Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 hours of mentorship from La compagnie des autres focused on developing skills in project funding research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access to a creation space (120 hours over 3 weeks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20 hours of personalized support from En Piste for developing skills related to articulating and positioning the artistic approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a one-year En Piste membership, if the recipient has never previously been a member and meets membership policy criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a public residency showing, enabling networking, meetings and exchanges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/><br\/>What is the duration of the support?<\/h5>\n\n<p>The support is one-off and not recurring.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What types of projects are eligible?<\/h5>\n\n<p>Research and exploratory projects leading toward the creation of a performance work. <br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General eligibility requirements<\/h5>\n\n<p><strong>For the individual artist:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canadian citizenship or permanent residency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>residency on the territory of the Island of Montr\u00e9al<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recognized professional artist status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at least one artistic work presented in a professional context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><br\/><strong>For an artist collective:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a group of at least two artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>represented by one person responsible for the application who must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at least two-thirds of members must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency; members residing outside Canada may not exceed one-third<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>majority of members (50% +1), including the application lead, must reside on the Island of Montr\u00e9al<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>members must meet the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al definition of professional artist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><br\/><strong>For an arts organization:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a non-profit corporation or non-profit artists\u2019 cooperative not distributing surpluses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>head office located on the Island of Montr\u00e9al<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a board of directors primarily composed of Canadian citizens or permanent residents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>primary mission focused on creation, production or presentation in the arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recognized level of competence and ability to demonstrate it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>qualified leadership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stable artistic direction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>activities recognized by peers for their artistic quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>employment of professional artists and cultural workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Specific eligibility requirements<\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-a45951e485498aa0683269c43876d895\">have reviewed the residency\u2019s technical specifications to ensure technical feasibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be available and present on the predetermined residency dates and location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hold valid civil liability insurance for the full duration of the residency (budgeting for insurance is recommended if needed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensure at least one representative actively participates in the 20 hours of professional mentorship offered by En Piste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensure at least one representative actively participates in the 20 hours of professional mentorship offered by En Piste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>take part in a debrief meeting with project partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><br\/>Notes :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>projects that have already undergone a research phase may be submitted;
