Group insurance for individuals in case of accident
No one is completely safe from an accident occurring while training or touring.
The indemnity agreed with the insurer guarantees financial compensation for you and your family following an accident in Canada or abroad. (except for the US)
Weekly indemnities, accidental death insurance, reimbursement of certain medical expenses are part of the coverage available to individual members following an accident.

Insurance policy 2023 : $20,00 / month (plus applicable taxes)

Admissibility: All En Piste members who are Canadian citizens are eligible.
(The modular plan for individual members also covers non-citizens, as long as you have access to a provincial health plan, such as RAMQ in Quebec.)
NOTE: This insurance does not cover drugs, dental care and other preventive treatments.

Travel insurance
If you venture outside the country, you must have travel insurance. It protects you against any unforeseen events that may occur abroad, even in the performance of your duties.
It can protect you against:
• Emergency medical care costs
• Trip cancellation / interruption
• Accidental Death or Dismemberment (ADM)
• Luggage loss or theft
Cost: Plan between $50 and $100 for a one-month trip, and between $150 and $300 for a 3-month stay.
Admissibility: All members in good standing and their families are protected.
Liability Insurance
Under the law, we all have an obligation to not cause harm to others. We therefore must exercise caution and respect the rules of conduct as necessary in any given context or circumstances. If we fail in this duty, we may be held liable for moral damages, personal injury we have caused and, in some cases, forced to financially compensate for them.

Property and Equipment Insurance
Covers the goods you possess, loan and are responsible for, are under your care and/or control, or those you lease and are responsible for.
Rate: According to need.

Insurance for Expats
Full and flexible protections for our expat members (either foreigners who live in Canada or Canadian citizens or residents who work abroard and lose access to the provincial health insurance plan), including health insurance, life insurance and disability insurance.

Group insurance for individuals in case of accident + CNESST (in Quebec)
No one is completely safe from an accident occurring in a professional setting. It is highly recommended that circus practitioners join the group insurance plan even if their employer contributes to CNESST.
Our group insurance plan provides benefits in the following situations:
• An injury sustained while practicing circus arts
• Accidental mutilation
• An accident causing death
The indemnity provided is as agreed with the insurer. It guarantees financial compensation for you and your family following an accident, no matter where in the world it occurs.
Monthly cost: $21.80
Admissibility: All members in good standing who are Canadian citizens are eligible.

Property and liability insurance
As a circus performer, we have a responsibility to exercise care and good conduct. If you fail to do so, you may be held responsible and you will have to pay for the costs incurred. This insurance may be applicable in Canada and/or internationally.
This protection covers :
• Property damage
• Bodily injury
Types of policies available: One-time or annual
Price: Variable
Eligibility: All Canadian citizens who are members in good standing are eligible.

Companies and organizations can offer employees a group insurance plan that includes:
• Life insurance
• Short and/or long-term salary insurance
• Medical care insurance
• Dental insurance
The plan also covers an insured’s immediate family (spouse, minor children or students ages 25 and under).
