We have launched our two customized continuing education programs for 2020-2021: Career Skills and Training Support!
Thanks to the financial participation of the Government of Quebec and Compétence Culture, circus artists and trainers will be able to receive training support, while all circus arts professionals, including artists, trainers, coaches, mediation agents, technicians, designers, and cultural workers, will have access to an expert trainer to support them in their career development. Training activities can be conducted online and/or in person and must comply with public health guidelines. As in previous years, the programs are open to the entire circus community, but priority is given to members of the association.
Last year, no fewer than 100 participants benefited from over 1,183 hours of individual support provided by 66 trainers. This year, unfortunately, we did not receive funding for the multi-regional component of these programs. Only the grant for the Montreal component was awarded to us by Emploi-Québec. Interested individuals have until August 16 to submit their training projects for the fall session, which begins in September and ends on December 1, 2020. Applications for projects taking place in the winter 2021 session will be accepted from September 15 to October 1, 2020, and the submission dates for spring session projects are from January 5 to 15, 2021.
