CANADA | CERB : Canada Emergency Response Benefit
Taxable benefit of $2,000 a month
Ended September 27, 2020 and replaced by:

CANADA | Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB)
$500 per week to workers who are self-employed or are not eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) and who still require income support. Extended to September 25, 2021 (gradually reduced to less than $300 per week by fall).

CANADA | Simplified Employment Insurance (EI) program
One-time insurable hours credit, minimum taxable benefit rate of $500 per week, at least 26 weeks of regular benefits.

CANADA | Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan
Includes those programs : 

Mortgage support (flexibility for a mortgage deferral)
• Extra time to file income tax returns (return filing due date will be deferred until June 1, 2020 and payment of balances due until September 30, 2020)
• Special Goods and Services Tax credit payment (The average additional benefit will be close to $400 for single individuals and close to $600 for couples from low- and modest-income families.)
• Increasing the Canada Child Benefit
(an extra $300 per child for 2019-2020)
Support for students (incl. an adapted CREB, more scholarships for 2020-2021, a standstill on student loans payments, an enhanced Canada Summer Jobs program and more jobs)

CANADA | Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan
Includes various assistance programs like: 

75% wage subsidy for all businesses and organizations whose revenues have decreased. NPOs can include or exclude their public funding grants. Extended until June 2021, after which it will be modified to 50% of the salaries of new employees.
An extension the Work-Sharing program to 76 weeks between March 15, 2020 and March 14, 2021.
A business credit availability program
 which includes an emergency business account (interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits) Expanded: additional interest-free $20,000 loan, 50% of which would be forgivable if repaid by December 31, 2022 - deadline extended to June 30, 2021).
Emergency commercial rent subsidy (replaces the Emergency Rent Assistance expired in September 2020; up to 65% of eligible expenses, and up to 90% for businesses that have had to close their doors due to an order from local authorities). Extended until September 25, 2021.
• The deferral of payment of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) to June 2020.
