In a world where technology is constantly evolving, Gonzalo Soldi from the HUB multimedia design studio shares his knowledge of new creative technologies. The presentation will break them down and offer a new range of creative possibilities and tools to artists, equiping them to better communicate with designers and specialists about new technologies during projects.

This workshop is designed for circus artists and creators and is offered online on Zoom.

This presentation, held in partnership with St. John's International CircusFest, is offered free of charge. If you have registered and can't make it, please make sure to inform us as soon as possible so we can give your spot to someone else.

After studying architecture in Lima, Peru, Gonzalo Soldi moved to Montreal in 2003 to begin his career as a circus artist. His talents as a juggler and acrobat brought him to the Avignon and Aurillac festivals in 2005. Very early in his practice, he developed a strong interest in video and stage lighting technologies and their integration in dramaturgy. He developed his technical skills in 2008 while touring with Cavalia as a video director before studying production at the National Theatre School of Canada from 2011 to 2014. He has collaborated with dance, theatre and performing arts companies such as Le Carré des Lombes, VYV, Finzi Pasca and Franco Dragone before co-founding HUB Studio in 2015 with Thomas Payette as Creative Director. Since then, he has taken on the role of creative director and lighting designer for shows, narrative spaces and public artworks. HUB is a multidisciplinary creation studio. "We create, direct and produce meaningful multi-sensory experiences for live performances and public spaces. With our unique theatrical approach, we make the world a stage.''
