Finalists for the CALQ Award for Best Circus Work and the CAM Propulsion Award 2025 for Innovation and Enrichment of Circus Arts

Montréal, June 13, 2025 - En Piste, National Circus Arts Alliance, continues its partnership with the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) and is also inaugurating a new collaboration to promote circus arts through the creation of the CALQ Award for Best Circus Work.

FINALISTS – CAM PROPULSION AWARD
These two awards, presented in collaboration with En Piste, will be given on July 3 during the opening night of the MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE festival. Each award comes with a $10,000 grant and brings significant visibility and support to the winners’ artistic endeavors. They also foster creative momentum among emerging talents and throughout the circus arts sector.
The presentation of both circus arts awards will take place before the performance of The Genesis, the opening show of the MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE festival, on July 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Véronique Fontaine and Ms. Nathalie Maillé will be present to announce the 2025 award recipients.

Founded in 1997, En Piste is the only national circus arts alliance, bringing together nearly 600 individual and organizational members from the sector. It works to create favourable conditions for the development of circus arts across Canada by uniting the circus community, strengthening the field’s cohesion, and promoting circus to government bodies, as well as to local, national, and international presenters and audiences.
