Would you like to contribute to the development of the circus arts? En Piste, a national association for the circus arts, is currently looking for a Project Manager for the Projet - Développement du cirque à l'école. We're looking for a personable, dynamic and professional person to implement and coordinate concrete actions to improve the integration of circus arts education in schools. This person will work with the Director of Professional Development and Continuing Education, and the General Manager.

 

Context

The project to develop the circus arts teaching pipeline has been supported for several years by major players in circus training in Québec (École Nationale de cirque de Montréal, École de Cirque de Québec, École de cirque de Verdun, École de cirque des îles, École primaire Horizon-Soleil), En Piste and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications. An action plan is now ready to be implemented, taking into account potential advances of the recognition of our discipline in our sector.

 

 

 

Your first challenge:

- identify circus schools and existing programs;
- identify the specific needs of physical education teachers through consultations;
- create and animate a community of educators in circus arts;
- identify artists who offer training and mediation in schools;
- occasionally support the department with its administrative tasks.

We'd like to meet you if you have:

- knowledge of the non-professional circus or physical education teaching environment at the primary or secondary levels;
- a strong command of spoken and written French;
- ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Airtable databases;
- autonomy, leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills;
- the ability to organize and prioritize a multifaceted project;
- good ability to work as part of a team.

What we offer:

- a contract position of 15 to 20 hours per week with flexible hours and remote work;
- a term of approximately one year with the possibility of renewal;
- the opportunity to join a small, dynamic team;
- access to a pleasant, friendly workspace located downtown near Place des arts;
- remuneration based on your experience.
